Earlier this week I had 4 orders going out in the mail. I decided to walk to the post office with Ziggy, my Giant Schnoodle pup, to wear him out and allow me to get some exercise in the process. Multi-tasking at it’s finest. Leaving my home and walking into town, the post office, the local hamburger place (we all have to eat and Ziggy LOVES their treats), and back to the office, we covered 5 miles. A good day and a good pace. Until the next day.
The next day I got out of bed and after coming down the stairs, I notice my knees were sore. I hadn’t had sore knees for a long time so this sensation was a surprise to me until I remembered walking 5 miles the day before and remembered I wore sandals. Not the best choice to make…not the walking but the sandals. Not enough support in those things. And I walked on asphalt and concrete…for 5 miles.
I sat down to the computer to work on work stuff. I love to be on social media and love Facebook. It’s a great way to keep up with family and friends that have moved away (friend request me: I’m ‘Karen At Mir’). It’s also a great way for people to reach out to us and ask questions about our products. I received notification that I was “tagged” in someone’s post. I clicked over to it and one of our Extraordineers was informing me she had a bad day. Because of her bad day, she ran a bathtub full of hot water, added Epsom salts and a dropper full of Mir’s full spectrum tincture. She was amazed at how well she felt getting out of the bath. I had never thought of adding our tincture into bath water. I was intrigued.
As the workday ended, I was limping from the kitchen into the living room and remembered the post our friend had shared earlier and I wondered if it would help my knees. I put Ziggy in the backyard, left the cell phone in the kitchen, and ran hot water in my tub. I added a cup of Epsom salts, a dropper full of my 1500mg, and a few drops of orange blossom essential oils into my water. Then I slipped into my newly mixed concoction. And was amazed at how the soreness in my knees disappeared and I completely relaxed in the tub. And I just laid there as everything melted away. It was extraordinary.
I have soaked in Epsom salts before to relieve pain or to help heal a skin abrasion. And it works great but this time was different from previous experiences. My skin was softer and I was more relaxed but most importantly the pain in my knees was gone. I woke up this morning and the pain had not returned. Going forward this will be my treat to myself. Just stop for a while and pamper me. I am going to do this on a weekly basis but next time I’m bringing in the candles!
The next time you have a hard day, grab your Mir tincture, Epsom salts, and your favorite fragrance to create your own special blend of pure bliss. Be ready to just relax and let your cares melt away. And don’t forget the candles.
